Why Pray for Muslims? Jesus Died for Them.....

Ramadan 2011:  August 1 - 30

I receive this every year from 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World.  Each day of Ramadan a specific call for collective prayer comes to my inbox.  I wanted to share this with you.....

Why Pray For Muslims?

Muslims do not generally realize :
... that Jesus, the Messiah, is to be obeyed.
... that Jesus has the ability to forgive sins.
... that Jesus has conquered death through his resurrection.
... that Jesus has power over evil spirits.

... Muslims think of Jesus as a great prophet who preached an earlier form of Islam.
... Muslims generally believe that they can earn God’s approval through religious activities (prayers, fasting, giving money).
... Muslims do not think they can know God. They only think that they can know about Him.

“Worthy are You ... for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.” (Rev. 5:9)

This is why we are praying.

Some Real Life Heroes!

These heroes need you!  The source of their strength is the Lord and He invites us to be a part!

Prayer Requests from our Nazarene Family.....

Our family is LARGE & around the world!  Here are some ways you can connect with them through the heart of God:

PRAY FOR:

GLOBAL MINISTRY REQUESTS

Metropolitan Cities and Remote Villages
World Mission Broadcast (WMB) is the Church of the Nazarene’s global radio, television, and Internet ministry. WMB is what takes the good news of Christ to metropolitan cities and to the remotest parts of the world. The following are specific ways you can pray for WMB ministry taking place in South America:

- Pray for equipment for WMB’s studio in Brazil. God has been faithful throughout the construction of the studio, but equipment is needed so that Portuguese material can be produced and students from Brazil Nazarene College can be trained in broadcast ministry.

- Pray that that secular radio stations in Paraguay will be open to broadcasting Christian programs.

- Pray that God will provide a national communications coordinator for Argentina and that many young people will become involved with new media technology to serve God.

- Pray for the broadcasting of Mujer Valiosa (The Valued Woman) on the Chilean network. Pray that the television program will minister to the hearts and lives of Chilean families and that stations will broadcast the second and third seasons.

- Pray for the production of the fourth season of Mujer Valiosa, that God will provide the needed human resources in all areas: technical, hosts, and special guests.

- Pray for the national WMB team in Peru. Pray that God will continue to strengthen the team and that WMB can take the Gospel message to provinces where the Church of the Nazarene does not yet have a presence.

- Pray for volunteer missionaries to work in radio and TV in South America including the countries of Argentina, Peru, Brazil, and Ecuador.
